OBJECTIVES
Implement the recommendations of the NLN's newly released position
statement: Preparing the Next Generation of Nurses to Practice
in a Technology-rich Environment: An Informatics Agenda
Incorporate e-learning into classroom and clinical experiences
Plan strategies to encourage faculty to embrace simulation as
a teaching/learning strategy
Create new simulation scenarios that move beyond demonstration
of patient care to multidisciplinary simulations involving delegation
and increasingly complex curricular concepts
Describe how schools are using Second Life and social networking
sites
Discuss the purpose and goals of the HRSA funded Health Information
Technology grant, and the accomplishments of the first cohort
