COMPREHENSIVE NURSING ACHIEVEMENT TEST - RN - Alternate

Purpose: Evaluates the range of knowledge required for the beginning registered nurse. Written in the nursing process framework, this secure test serves as a practice exam for NCLEX-RN®.
Format: 200 multiple-choice, four-option items.
Administration: Can be administered in three and one-half hours. Schedule at the completion of the educational program. This test may be administered as a computer-based test (CBT) or paper-based test (PBT). All achievement CBT and PBTs must be administered in a secure, proctored environment unless otherwise directed.
Scoring: The performance report is based on the NCLEX-RN® test plan. Information is provided regarding the performance of the normative sample, which includes graduating students in associate, baccalaureate, and diploma programs. Two copies of each individual diagnostic profile are provided, one for the student and one for faculty analysis. A summary report for the group is also furnished, which contains a record of each student's incorrect and omitted responses and item descriptors for all questions, when ten or more students are tested as a group.
A total score and 20 subscores in the following areas are provided.
