The scholarship is being awarded in honor of Brother Ignatius Perkins who has served the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky for many years through his activities for enhancing Nursing education. The scholarship is to be awarded annually as a one time only gift to qualified nurse applicants. For criteria and more information, click here. This Award for Excellence in Nursing Education in the Commonwealth of Kentucky will be presented to two outstanding academic nurse educators yearly during the annual business meeting of the Kentucky League for Nursing. The honor will recognize significant contribution to excellence and innovation in nursing education contributing to the preparation of the nursing workforce in the state.
