PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am a nurse educator with more than 38 years of educational experience ranging from teaching community CPR classes to undergraduate and graduate nursing classes both online and hybrid. In recent years, I have served as a dean for the college and the chair for our nursing program. As a nurse educator, I have served on many college and community committees; fostered the growth of our Student Success Center; assisted in the birth of our local Sigma Theta Tau chapter, Chi Rho; helped develop our Master in Nursing degree program with a Nurse Educator track; assisted in the accreditation of our nursing programs; helped develop our new Direct Entry Master degree program; assisted faculty in the development of their test writing skills; and am a peer reviewer for online courses with Quality Matters. I have reviewed and edited many critical thinking discussion questions and test banks for Elsevier.
