PERSONAL STATEMENT

My desire to serve our profession motivates me to seek a seat on the NLN Board of Governors. Education is among our society’s most transformative experiences, and for nursing, a prime driver of quality and safety. I seek to commit my talents to expand our scope in developing and evaluating the evidence upon which our students learn, furthering our philanthropic strategy to support projects of national and global significance, and enhance the value of membership through fostering a culture of innovative professional development. Central to my commitment to NLN is its valuing of all nursing education; realizing there are many paths to the same goal. Finally, I pledge my efforts to assure that NLN continues to be a leading advocate for assuring that schools of nursing are healthy, supportive workplaces where faculty are valued for their diverse contributions and in turn are able to create rigorous and nurturing learning environments.
