NLN CNEA Nominations for Board of Commissioners and Nominations Committee

The NLN CNEA is seeking nurse educators, practice representatives, and public members with expertise in nursing education, higher education, nursing practice, and related fields to serve on its Board of Commissioners and Nominations Committee.

There are three Board of Commissioner vacancies for nurse educator positions, two vacancies for practice representative positions, and two vacancies for public members beginning January 1, 2018. Terms are two or three years in duration. The NLN CNEA has set Board of Commissioners engagement expectations.

There are also three openings for nurse educators on the NLN CNEA Nominations Committee beginning January 1, 2018. The positions are open for representatives of diploma programs (RN), master’s programs, and clinical doctoral programs. Terms are two years in length; committee members are expected to participate in all scheduled teleconferences.

Eligibility for Open Positions
Individuals representing nursing education programs on either the Board of Commissioners or the Nominations Committee should either be an active or retired individual NLN member, employed at an NLN member institution, or employed at an NLN CNEA accredited or pre-accredited program. Elected officers, governors, and employees of the NLN or any NLN subsidiary are ineligible to serve as an NLN CNEA commissioner or on the Nominations Committee.
