In 2021-2022, the NLN will

  • Support policies that promote nursing education progression with the necessary faculty to educate the next generation of nurses who will care for diverse populations of patients, families, and communities, and who will respond effectively to public health emergencies.
  • Advocate for funding to expand nurse faculty education programs that enhance the development of a diverse faculty of educators and scholars.
  • Support funding of research initiatives that promote the scholarship of teaching and advance the science of nursing education.
  • Support policy initiatives to establish a seamless infrastructure that promotes academic, professional, and technological progression.
  • Advocate for regulatory and general policies for innovative solutions in nursing education while maintaining quality and safety standards.
