2017 Education Summit Attendee Cancellation/Refund Policy

Requesting a Summit/Pre-Summit Cancellation:
Cancellations for all or part of the Summit must be received in writing, fax-dated, postmarked, or signed for by express mail company, no later than 5:00 PM (PST) on Friday, August 25, 2017. Processing Fees for Full Summit Registration Cancellations:
Cancellation for Full Summit registration received on or before the cutoff date will receive a full refund less a $75 per person processing fee.

  • The processing fee will be waived if cancellation notice is received within 10 business days of original purchase; if fewer than 10 business days remain between the date of purchase and the cutoff date, the cutoff date shall serve as the last day to submit a cancellation request.
  • The processing fee is waived for daily registrations.
  • No other exceptions will be made for processing fee waivers.

While we understand that illness and other unforeseen personal hardships do occur, unfortunately, and without exception, refunds will not be made for requests received after Friday, August 25, 2017.

Processing Fees for Pre-Summit Workshop Cancellations:
The refund deadline for Pre-Summit Workshops is Monday, August 14, 2017. The amount refunded for a canceled Pre-Summit Workshop is the amount paid less processing fees of $25 for half-day workshops and $50 for full-day workshops.

Without exception, Pre-Summit Workshop refunds will not be made for requests received after Monday, August 14, 2017.

Group Discounts:
Group discounts may be affected if an individual cancellation results in a change to the group tier. For example, if a school registers seven attendees at the group discount rate of seven percent and one attendee must cancel, the school will drop to the five percent discount tier, resulting in an invoice for the difference in price plus cancellation processing fee. See below about substitutions.

General Information:
Please note: Non-advance payment of registration fees does not void the cancellation policy. All registrations not canceled and not paid must be paid regardless of attendance. Refunds will not be made for no-shows.

The NLN reserves the right to cancel or postpone any or all Summit activities. In the event the Summit must be canceled or postponed, registration fees will be refunded in full. All other cancellations are subject to the policy as stated above.

Check Refunds will be issued within four weeks of the last day of the conference.
