Taking Aim at Good Teaching

Join us next Friday, August 14 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT for the first offering in the second series of Taking Aim at Good Teaching webinars. The first series was put together quickly in the spring in response to the sudden need to close campuses and teach all courses online. The idea behind the new series is to learn from experts who have successfully implemented remote teaching strategies. Our experts will share solutions grounded in today’s neuroscience principles.

The Taking Aim at Good Teaching: Inside Higher Education webinar will feature a panel (Drs. Angela Amar, Lisa Day, and Jenny O’Rourke) that will explore how shifts in course delivery impact curriculum and assessment. We know for certain that key foundational principles of good teaching hold consistent and will impact how today’s nursing students benefit from their nursing education in the unique context of COVID-19. Register now to partipate in the 8/14 webinar.

Creating Civility and Community in Turbulent Times Webinar

View a complimentary recording of the Creating Civility and Community in Turbulent Times webinar recorded on May 1. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in a variety of unprecedented and unpredictable ways. Our academic workplaces and learning environments look very different now; the institutions we traditionally rely upon for support, stress relief, and fun are unavailable to us. We may feel heightened levels of stress, which in turn, can lead to acts of incivility. Recommitting to collegiality, community, and civility is more important than ever. This session emphasizes the role of nurse educator as leader in fostering civility and creating healthy work environments in nursing education.
