Tips for Successful Proposals for NLN Nursing Education Research Grant Applications

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

In order to participate in the Web Conference, you must have two (2) separate connections: one telephone line with a Touch-Tone™ or cellular telephone for the audio connection, and a separate connection for Internet access. Your system requirements are as follows:

  • MS Windows 98, ME, NT4 (workstation or server), 2000 PRO, XP Home
  • Pentium 233 Mhz
  • 128 MB RAM
  • 1024x768 Screen Resolution
  • Internet connection: at least 56K modem
  • Java Version 1.4.2 or higher OR Microsoft VM 1.1.4
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.x (AOL versions not supported) or Netscape Navigator 6.2 or 7.x
  • You must make sure that any installed pop-up blockers are disabled. The most common pop-up blockers are Yahoo and Google, but there are several others. All pop-up blockers have different ways of changing your settings.

If you feel your system does not meet the minimum requirements, and you need assistance, please call 800-937-7726 between the hours of 9-5 ET, and please do so at least one day prior to the event.

It is important that you do a "Compatibility Test" prior to the event.When you click on the link below, you will be directed to a sample conference test site so you can be sure that there will be no problems entering the audio/web seminar on the day of the event. If you encounter any difficulty, call 800-937-7726 between the hours of 9-5 EST, for technical support.
