Have you visited the Simulation Innovation Resource Center (SIRC)? The SIRC, launched in June 2008, is the NLN's online faculty development source for courses and resources to help you design, develop, integrate, and evaluate simulations within your curriculum. Last week, on our first anniversary, we launched two new courses: Maximizing Realism and Developing Faculty. Check out these new courses, free templates, a list of simulation centers across the country, forum discussions, and more at http://sirc.nln.org.
Registration opens July 1 and ends September 3 for those interested in taking the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) examination between October 5 and December 31, 2009. For information about eligibility, exam fees, the CNE test blueprint, and exam preparation, go to www.nln.org/facultycertification/index.htm. CNE certification is the mark of distinction for nursing faculty.
