Celebrate Halloween with the Technology Experts at the 4th Annual 2009 NLN Technology Conference & Pre-Conference Workshops at The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, Baltimore, Maryland, the city Edgar Allan Poe called home.

We are offering both a basic and an advanced simulation workshop as pre-conference events to the NLN Technology Conference, on Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30th.

Pre-Conference Workshops:
The NLN Basic Simulation Workshop teaches basic design and development of simulations using a template, and offers practical advice on implementation.

The NLN Advanced Simulation Workshop is intended for those who have implemented basic simulation scenarios and wish to develop advanced skills such as designing scenarios that incorporate curriculum concepts and threads, and provide simulated experiences with delegation, care of multiple patients, and functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team. Advanced debriefing techniques, the use of standardized patients, and Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) will also be covered.

The NLN Technology Conference showcases state-of-the-art applications of simulation, e-learning, informatics, and telehealth. Come and learn about the federally funded HRSA HITS Scholar Program, Second Life, and more. Get current on developments in technology and informatics so that you can prepare students to function in today's technology-rich health care environment.
