SPEAKER INFORMATION

Patricia Mahoney, MSN, RN, CNE has been a nurse educator for over 30 years. After retiring as Assistant Dean of the Joint Associate Degree Nursing Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, she joined Middlesex County College and Excelsior College as adjunct faculty and is teaching several distance courses that she designed. Pat has authored several nursing education software programs and was a test development consultant for The Chauncey Group International®, a subsidiary of Educational Testing Service® when they had the contract to develop the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX®). Ms. Mahoney has provided consulting services and conducted workshops for nursing education programs throughout the United States on test development, curriculum design, and program evaluation. Pat participated in the development of the practice analysis and the test blueprint for the NLN Nurse Educator Certification Examination. She recently formed a new company, NursEducator Consultants, which specializes in curriculum design and assessment.
