DESCRIPTION
The content for this program is presented using a variety of teaching strategies including Power Points, discussion points and questions/answers. Attendees will explore principles for best practice in undergraduate education and be asked to identify how they can incorporate evidence-based teaching strategies in their own practice as nurse educators.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the application of evidence-based practice principles to the practice of teaching.
  • Describe characteristics of today’s learners and implications for meeting their learning needs.
  • Describe innovative, evidence-based teaching-learning approaches that address the needs of today’s students.
  • Discuss nurse educator development and support needs for engaging in evidence-based teaching
