Participate in Curriculum Development (Core Competency
4):
Development of Graduate Programs
Faculty groups considering the development or revision of graduate programs
are guided to reflect on their target population, their institution’s
mission, departmental strengths, resources available to them, and graduate educational
needs assessed within the targeted population. Issues such as State Board of
Nursing and accreditation requirements will be addressed as the group engages
in curriculum planning designed to achieve program outcome goals, and in drafting
a program evaluation plan. Potential partnerships for the recruitment of students
and delivery of the program can be explored.
