Advisory Councils

Purpose

The purpose of the Educational Technology and Information Management Advisory Council is to promote evidence-based educational technologies and information management that enhances learning and practice.

Goals

  1. Promote the effective use of educational technology as a teaching tool.
  2. Advance faculty informatics competencies.
  3. Promote integration of informatics competencies into nursing curricula and program outcomes.
  4. Promote the development of information management systems for the support of nursing education.
  5. Advise professional organizations and other relevant groups regarding the continued refinement of informatics competencies for nurses.
  6. Collaborate with NLN advisory councils, task groups, and other committees on issues related to educational technology and information management.
  7. Collaborate with NLN advisory councils, task groups, BOG liaisons, the president-elect, and other committees on issues related to educational technology and information management.
