Nursing Education Advisory Council (NEAC)
Purpose
The purpose of the Nursing Education Advisory Council is
to provide the leadership that transforms nursing education and supports innovation
in all types of nursing education programs in order to achieve excellence and
prepare graduates for practice in the 21st century.
Goals
- Support activities that facilitate the continuous quality
improvement of all nursing education programs.
- Encourage evidence-based teaching that supports the transformation of nursing
education.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing refinement of the NLN’s Centers
of Excellence program and Student Excellence Paper Competition.
- Recommend to the NLN president and CEO candidates for appointment to the
COE review panel.
- Appoint consultants for the NLN’s Centers of Excellence program
- Appoint NLN members to serve as reviewers of entries to the student paper
competition.
- Monitor changes in education and practice that influence nursing education.
- Collaborate with NLN advisory councils, task groups, BOG liaisons, the
president-elect, and other committees on issues related to nursing education
