The Academic Nurse Educator Certification Program
Are you a certified nurse educator (CNE) who is interested
in volunteering your time in talent in order to contribute to the ongoing development
of the certified nurse educator examination? If so, please consider the following
opportunities:
CNE Item Writer
- Contribute psychometrically sound, discriminating questions that reflect the
role of the academic nurse educator at all levels of nursing education
- Receive professional acknowledgement for your participation
- Engage in a professional development activity that can be used toward meeting
the requirements for certification renewal
Test Development Committee
- Participate in a secured online or face-to-face review of test items for content,
accuracy, and relevancy to the academic nurse educator role
- Participate in preliminary item analysis of pre-test items
- Participate as a judge in the determination of the examination’s passing
standard (when required)
- Receive professional acknowledgement for your participation
- Engage in a professional development activity that can be used toward meeting
the requirements for certification renewal
Certification Committee
- Serve on a committee whose function is to design, implement,
and evaluate the nurse educator certification program
- Receive professional acknowledgement for your participation
