Welcome to our website.  Come join us in our Centennial Year!

As president of the DC/MDLN, it is my honor to welcome you to our website and hope the information you find here will motivate you to join our exciting group.

On April 11, we celebrated the 100-year history of the District of Columbia Constituent League - This afforded us the opportunity to examine a century of incredible accomplishments of nurses who made an impact on nursing and health in our local area as well as across the nation! This milestone, a once-in-a-lifetime event, allowed us to celebrate the past and honor those whose shoulders we stand.  As educators, our focus must also be on the future and the many challenges it brings us...contemporary issues - which past leaders could not have imagined.  (But amazingly offer good advice on how to handle them!)

You are a nurse educator because you believe you can make an impact on our profession. Join us in the ongoing work to define best practices in nursing education while we build friendships and foster personal growth …

There are so many challenges which we as educators are faced with today, be a part of the journey into the next century of work! I am looking forward to meeting and working with you.

President, District of Columbia/Maryland League for Nursing
