Greetings Colleagues!

This brief note is to both thank you for your continued confidence in me and to outline my vision for our organization.  I am simultaneously excited and humbled to be given such a tremendous opportunity to build upon the great foundation set in place by previous presidents and boards.

As your President, I'm committed to the mission of the NLN, which “promotes excellence in nursing education to build a strong and diverse nursing workforce to advance the health of our nation and the global community.”

As we approach this last year of my biennial term , we will continue to promote the mission of FLN and NLN through the new initiatives we create together.  As members, you play a critical role in creating and sustaining the relationships with colleagues that educate our students and advocate for better health care for our citizens. Together, we will encourage FLN and NLN membership and attendance at our area conferences; we will become even more involved in area activities and commit ourselves fully to the NLN’s core values of “caring, integrity, diversity, and excellence.”

I am very excited by these new opportunities, and I hope that you are, too. Let us do our best work together!
