Sexual Assault in the Military
The Invisible War is a groundbreaking investigative documentary that presents hard-hitting interviews with high-ranking military officials and members of Congress that reveal the perfect storm conditions that exist for rape in the military and what can be done to bring about much needed change. The film features survivors talking about their experiences and the struggles to rebuild their lives. The film won awards at the Sundance Film Festival and has been screened throughout the country, including for the Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta. The webinar provides an opportunity to hear directly from a survivor of military sexual assault about her experiences and her journey. Veterans Health Initiative
The Veterans Health Initiative (VHI) provides independent study courses aimed at increasing VA providers' knowledge of military-service-related diseases and illnesses. The VHI study guides are useful as well for non-VA providers, veterans and the public. The courses are accredited and meet medical licensure requirements. The PILOTS Database
An electronic index to the worldwide literature on PTSD and other mental health consequences of exposure to traumatic events, PILOTS (Published International Literature on Traumatic Stress) does not restrict its coverage to articles appearing in selected journals. It attempts to include all publications relevant to PTSD and other forms of traumatic stress, whatever their origin without disciplinary, linguistic, or geographic limitations.
