Continuing Designation as an NLN Center of
Excellence in Nursing Education

Continuation of designation as an NLN Center of Excellence
(COE) in Nursing Education is not automatic. During the last of year of the
designation, designees are encouraged to reapply for continued designation;
and for schools this may be in any category.
Applications for continuing designation will undergo the same
rigorous review by the COE review panel as all other
applications. Continued designation will be recommended
only if the applicant provides evidence that all criteria were
met within the selected category.
