OVERVIEW
This book, a compilation of findings from the NLN 2005 National Nursing Education DatabaseTM Survey, is designed to be a handy reference for nursing education statistics.
The NLN has conducted an annual survey of schools of nursing since 1953. Our data books have long served as an essential resource for policy-makers and key decision-makers responsible for conducting research and analysis with regard to the nursing workforce. Since the NLN surveys all programs at the pre-licensure level – whether or not they are accredited by NLNAC or are members of the NLN – it is accurate to state that NLN data are the most comprehensive in existence in the United States. In addition, this book builds on historical files dating back to 1971 and serves as a rich resource for time-series analysis.
