OVERVIEW
The National League for Nursing proudly presents the Nursing Data Review, Academic Year 2005-2006, Baccalaureate, Associate Degree, and Diploma Programs, a compilation of findings that focuses on contemporary RN nursing education. The present volume is designed to be a handy reference book for those interested in nursing education statistics. In this publication you will find data from the NLN annual survey of nursing education programs, previously published as Nursing Data Review, Academic Year 2004-2005 and Nursing Data Review, Academic Year 2003.

The National League for Nursing is the only organization in the nation that collects data on all educational programs that prepare students for licensure as registered nurses. Thus, the data included within this volume constitute a census of the programs that contribute to the pool of new RN graduates each year. The NLN research program is fully independent of NLN membership activities and of the accreditation activities of the NLNAC. Thus, this survey encompasses both NLNAC and non-NLNAC accredited schools of nursing, as well as NLN member schools of nursing and non-NLN member schools of nursing.

It is anticipated that this Nursing Data Review will prove to be a valuable resource as the nation seeks ways to meet future demand for registered nurses at all levels of education and in a full range of specializations
