B. New Faculty Intensive: The Basics
Presenters: Karen T. Pardue, PhD, RN, CNE, ANEF; Carrie O'Reilly, PhD, MSN, RN
This workshop is designed to assist those new to the faculty role to meet the NLN Core Competencies for Nurse Educators. Items to be addressed include strategies to facilitate learning, assessment and evaluation of student performance in the classroom and clinical settings, considerations of curriculum design and evaluation of program outcomes, continuous quality improvement, scholarship, and functions of the faculty role.

C. The NLN Preparation Course for Certification as a Nurse Educator
Presenter: Linda Caputi, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE
This workshop is an intensive, comprehensive review of the major content areas of the test blueprint for the Certified Nurse Educatorcm exam. It is designed to help potential candidates assess their level of readiness and identify practice domains where further study may be needed. D. Purpose, Passion, Potency: Co-Creating Transformation in Organizations
Presenters: Bruce Irvine, MA, FRSA; Janice G. Brewington, PhD, RN, FAAN
This workshop is designed for leaders in schools of nursing who are in the midst of transforming their organizations. It will explore co-creation as an inevitable process to redefine the meaning and the process of leadership and the challenge of unleashing untapped resources in people and organizations. Through the spirit of inquiry, leaders will examine ways to formulate and integrate organizational purpose in leadership practice and discover means to harness collective leadership for the common good.

E. NLN Preparation Course for Item Writers
Presenter: Larry Simmons, PhD, RN, CNE
This item writing workshop will focus on developing NLN item writing techniques consistent with both NLN and NCLEX specifications. It will include group discussion on how to improve item writing techniques. After the workshop participants can network with members of the NLN Testing Services team. Participants who excel in the item writing process will have the option of exploring additional opportunities to write questions for the many NLN exams and work as NLN consultants in their areas of expertise.

G. Educational Law that All Nursing Program Administrators Should Know
Presenter: Linda Christensen, JD, MSN, RN
Administrators of nursing education programs often come face-to-face with issues that are difficult to resolve without knowledge of educational law principles. This session will present strategies to support the nursing program administrator to act and respond to various situations in a manner consistent with current principles applicable to educational law. Institutional legal issues that apply to common situations occurring in nursing programs will be discussed including those surrounding nurse faculty and nursing students.
Constituent League Leadership Workshop
