Purpose: Assesses students' understanding of key principles of mental health and psychiatric nursing. Emphasis is on behavioral manifestations of well being and stress as exhibited by children and adults at various levels of wellness and in a variety of settings. Assesses knowledge of appropriate goals and interventions for clients and families experiencing illness, or stress.
Format: 75 multiple-choice, four-option items.
Administration: Schedule after completion of course work in mental health and mental illness. This test may be administered as a computer-based test (CBT) or paper-based test (PBT). All achievement CBT and PBTs must be administered in a secure, proctored environment unless otherwise directed.
Scoring: A total score and two subscores are provided. Normative data are based on the performance of students in PN programs.
