COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

Purpose: Assesses students' understanding of contemporary community health nursing practice. Emphasis on care of individuals, families, and groups in the context of promoting and preserving the health of the community. Reflects content essential for preparing nurses for entry-level community health nursing practices as recommended by the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE).
Format: 125 multiple-choice, four-option items. Twenty-five items are for experimental purposes and not included in the scoring.
Administration: Schedule after completion of course work in community health nursing. This test may be administered as a computer-based test (CBT) or paper-based test (PBT). All achievement CBT and PBTs must be administered in a secure, proctored environment unless otherwise directed.
Scoring: A total score and two subscores are provided. Normative data are based on the performance of students in RN programs.
