Dear Colleague,

The NLN is pleased to announce that Angel Feliciano joined the NLN on May 3, 2010 as senior director, testing services.

He brings with him more than 20 years of executive management experience, building sound business policies and solutions that exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Angel has worked for several organizations, such as the Bank of New York, Morgan Stanley, Per Scholas, and ASI System Integration.

It is also a pleasure to announce that Dr. Anthony Benners has been named director of psychometric research and test development. A psychometrician at the NLN since January 1, 2007, for the last several months Anthony has served as interim director for test development.

Testimonials from the Field — Spotlight on Goodwin College
During the four short years that the NLN has promoted its full Testing Solutions packages, we have successfully served more than 32,000 program participants across the country, while producing outstanding program results for their respective schools. The Goodwin College Department of Nursing located in East Hartford, Connecticut was one of the first full Testing Solutions partners and they wanted to share their success story with others across the country.

Jan Costello, MSN, RN, chair, Department of Nursing: "I am absolutely convinced implementing NLN Testing Solutions has been the most important factor in the significant improvement in our NCLEX-RN pass rate." Goodwin's NCLEX-RN pass rate went from "unacceptable" to 94 percent passing on the first try!

Goodwin faculty worked hand-in-hand with the NLN's solutions managers and testing team to fashion a unique bundle of testing resources including more than 50 practice exams, remediation for all the exams, an item review bank with 4,000 plus questions and — rounding out the solutions package — a series of online testing resources for students. Goodwin students greatly benefited from the practice tests with detailed rationales for the NLN Achievement Exams that were selected to reinforce the learning concepts.
