PSYCHIATRIC PROBLEMS

Purpose: Measures the knowledge and abilities necessary for new or currently employed registered nurses to provide safe care for clients who have acute and chronic psychiatric problems.

Format: 70- multiple choice, four-option items. Ten of these items are included for experimental purposes and are not scored.

Administration: Can be administered in approximately 75 minutes

Scoring: A total score of 60 and three subscores are provided.

Assess: 17 items
Analyze/Evaluate: 19 items
Plan/Implement: 24 items

 


PSYCHOTROPIC DRUG ADMINISTRATION

Purpose: Measures the knowledge and abilities necessary for registered nurses to safely administer psychotropic medication to a general adult patient population.

Format: 70- multiple choice, four-option items. Ten of these items are included for experimental purposes and are not scored.

Administration: Can be administered in approximately 75 minutes

Scoring: A total score of 60 and three subscores are provided.

Calculations: 7 items
Principles: 14 items
Effects: 39 items
