Taking Aim Intent to Action: Cultural Intelligence
Cultural humility, cultural sensitivity, and cultural safety are achieved with cultural intelligence (CQ). Cultural intelligence is the skill and confidence to interact effectively in multicultural environments It encourages self-awareness, which facilitates understanding of the implications of one's personal biases and those of others and how lived experiences impact both Insight enhances our eyesight. Without CQ we have a myopic view that is based on our own perspectives. Cultural intelligence broadens our vision when examining issues such as structural competence, disability, and care for transgender populations. Participants will be inspired to use new frameworks and language to make their learning spaces more inclusive and equitable.
