National League for Nursing Relaunches NLN.org

With Improved Ease of Navigation, Redesigned Flagship Website Highlights Key Content for a Better User Experience

Washington, DC —The National League for Nursing has a new, more modern NLN.org to offer a state-of-the-art experience with a visually appealing, intuitive navigation of the League’s professional education, events, and resources for the nursing education community at all levels of higher education and other stakeholders.

“The National League for Nursing website enhances the user experience to take full advantage of the advancements in technology now available,” said NLN Chair Kathleen Poindexter, PhD, RN, CNE, ANEF, interim associate dean of academic affairs at Michigan State University, College of Nursing, of the decision to launch a newly improved NLN.org. “We believe the website’s refreshing new look and cleanly organized content will best serve our membership and anyone seeking to engage with the leading voice of nursing education today.”

“The National League for Nursing constituency is just so varied, from applicants to nursing programs to veteran faculty, scholars, staff, and academic deans and directors to health care executives in related organizations. We wanted visitors to the website to more easily access content that speaks to their individual or institutional needs and interests,” said NLN President and CEO Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN.

Featured content includes scholarship and grant information; career services; classroom-ready teaching resources; conferences, webinars, and other opportunities for leadership training and professional development; awards and recognition programs; proprietary research; scholarly publications for purchase; and more.

Website visitors can also learn how the League’s involvement in public policy has impacted timely challenges, like the persistent global shortage of nurses and nurse educators; access to quality healthcare for underserved communities; increasing diversity in nursing; and promoting positive workforce culture. Here, too, are detailed ways those interested may join advocacy initiatives through League collaborations with national, state, and regional Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and governmental agencies.
