Timeline for the Academy Application Cycle
February 16 | Applications must be submitted online to the NLN by February 16, 2024 at 11:59 pm (ET). Application link: Apply here Application payments can be made online HERE. The fee structure is listed at the bottom of this page. |
March | Applications and review/recommendation forms will be sent to Review Panel. |
April | Review Panel meets to discuss all reviews/recommendations. Recommendations for new fellows sent to NLN Board of Governors |
April/May | NLN Board of Governors will act on recommendations regarding new fellows. |
May/June | All applicants notified of the outcome of the review process. |
September | New fellows will be inducted at the Honors Convocation ceremony held during the NLN's annual Education Summit. |
Fees
In addition to the fees noted below, Fellows are required to maintain membership in the NLN, either through their school or as an individual member.

Annual Fellowship Dues | $150 | $100** | Waived |
*To be considered retired, the candidate must not have been employed in any capacity for at least three years. If the candidate has not been retired for three years, she/he must apply as a regular fellow.
**Current Academy fellows who are fully retired
may apply for retirement dues on the NLN website for 2023-2024.
