Dr. Deborah Hunt is the Dr. Betty L. Forest Dean and Professor at the College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University. She is a Fellow in the National League for Nurse Academy of Nursing Education and the New York Academy of Medicine. She is an accomplished nursing leader, educator, and scholar with expertise in developing new programs, curriculum designs, faculty development, nursing education, international collaboration, patient safety, and transition of the new nurse. Among her unique contributions to nursing are four book publications, numerous articles, and presentations at various conferences locally, nationally, and internationally. She serves as an ambassador and peer reviewer for PCORI and is the Chair of the Health and Human Services Committee at Bronx Community Board #10 as well as a Trustee of the Gillen Brewer School. She has been recognized by her community peers with several awards and honors.
