In 2021-2022, the NLN will 

  • Promote equitable access to holistic health care of patients and caregivers through the enhancement of services in all practice settings, including local community health centers, neighborhood clinics, and nurse-managed health clinics.
  • Support policies to eliminate statutory and regulatory barriers to nursing practice and enable nurses to practice to the full extent of their education and preparation.
  • Advocate for policies that promote the health and education of the public to meet the challenges of a diverse and ever-changing, market-driven health care environment.
  • Support maximizing education funding for health care professionals who commit to practice in rural and underserved areas.
  • Advocate and protect policies that promote the environmental health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
