In 2023-2024, the NLN will:

  • Support policies that promote nursing education progression with qualified faculty in numbers sufficient to educate an agile nurse workforce prepared to respond effectively to the health care needs of the nation and the global community.
  • Advocate for funding to expand nurse faculty education programs that enhance the development of a diverse faculty of educators and scholars.
  • Support funding of research initiatives that promote the scholarship of teaching and advance the science of nursing education.
  • Support funding for policy initiatives to promote access to technological innovation in nursing education.
  • Advocate for regulatory policies that allow for innovative approaches in nursing education while maintaining quality and safety standards.
