As a Black male nurse, Dr. Harrell Jordan strives to set an example for other nurses to come while doing the work to shed light on Black men’s health disparities.  He recently graduated as the first Black male PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Nursing. His entire purpose for completion is rooted in being an example for other men of color. He continues in this example as he serves as the first Black male to ever hold an Executive Dean position at a Chamberlain University campus. Through his business, Career Compass, he offers counseling sessions to all with a focus on men. He also assists with resumes, mock interviews, and offers career coaching. With the goal of inspiring everyone to be their best possible selves, Dr. Jordan uses all his experiences and life lessons to guide people in the direction towards a healthier future.
