Dr. Cynthia D. Booher serves as Dean of Nursing at Charter College, where she provides leadership for nursing education programs, curriculum development, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and student success initiatives. She has extensive experience in nursing education, academic administration, NCLEX preparation, program development, faculty mentoring, and faculty retention. Dr. Booher has led efforts related to accreditation with organizations such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), while collaborating with healthcare partners to strengthen workforce development and clinical education opportunities.
Dr. Booher’s areas of expertise include curriculum design, clinical judgment development, NCLEX preparation, simulation-based education, nursing leadership, program assessment, faculty development, and quality improvement. She specializes in helping students develop clinical judgment and decision-making skills through the integration of the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM), case-based learning, simulation, and evidence-based teaching strategies. Dr. Booher is also committed to supporting faculty success through mentorship, professional development, leadership cultivation, and retention initiatives that foster strong educational teams and positive student outcomes. She is passionate about preparing practice-ready nurses and advancing innovative educational approaches that improve healthcare outcomes and strengthen the nursing workforce.
