Dr. Rebecca Hill is a senior academic leader and nurse educator advancing innovation through strategic leadership, curricular transformation, and faculty development. As Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the UNC–Chapel Hill School of Nursing, she oversees academic quality, program operations, and student success across prelicensure and graduate portfolios. Dr. Hill leads large-scale redesign aligning outcomes with the 2021 Essentials from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and guiding implementation of competency-based education. Known for collaborative leadership and operational discipline, she partners with faculty and health systems to strengthen experiential learning, simulation, and academic–practice collaboration. She champions governance structures that promote transparency and shared ownership while navigating enrollment pressures, regulatory demands, and clinical placement constraints. A committed mentor, Dr. Hill prioritizes teaching excellence and professional growth, ensuring equitable, outcomes-focused models that prepare graduates to serve diverse communities and contribute to safer, higher-quality care.
