Dr. Dellasega taught nursing students at the main campus of Penn State University until being recruited to the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. As part of the medical faculty, she was also hired as a research consultant to the Department of Nursing.
In 2002 Dr. Dellasega developed Club Ophelia,™ an award-wining program which has promoted healthy relationship skills to thousands of adolescent girls. In 2022, she created The Nurse Champion Program, for the Hershey Medical Center and evaluated to show significant improvements in the physical and mental wellbeing of nurses.
She has been a guest on Good Morning America, The Early Show, and The Gayle King Show as well as being featured on popular social and print media. Her authorship includes over one hundred refereed publications and eleven books, including What to do When Nurses Hurt Nurses and Toxic Nursing, an AJN Book of the Year.
