Dr. Lisa Lewis Lisa is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Duke University School of Nursing, retiring in 2026 after a distinguished academic and clinical career. A Certified Nurse Educator, she brings more than three decades of experience in prelicensure nursing education, curriculum design, student success, diversity and inclusion, and competency‑based education. Her scholarly work includes over 30 peer‑reviewed publications and numerous national and international presentations on mindset theory, progression and retention, holistic admissions, and innovative teaching practices.
In retirement, Dr. Lewis will continue her active program of scholarship, including ongoing research, publishing, and speaking engagements. She also serves as a Program Evaluator for the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA), contributing her expertise to advancing quality in nursing education programs nationwide.
Her work is grounded in a commitment to educational equity, evidence‑based teaching, and supporting the success of diverse nursing learners.
