Dr. Shelley A. Johnson is a senior academic leader, nurse educator, and scholar with more than 20 years of experience advancing nursing education quality, accreditation readiness, and student success. She currently serves as Provost and Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Johnson holds degrees in nursing, business, and educational leadership and completed advanced certificates at Harvard University and a Community Participatory Research Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Her doctoral research examined the integration of artificial intelligence to improve higher education outcomes. She has held leadership roles across diverse institutions, including serving as Founding Director and Chair of Nursing and Health Science at Lincoln University and Dean at Florida A&M University, where she restored program compliance, strengthened pass rates, and significantly increased enrollment. A certified nurse executive, nurse educator, and systematic reviewer, Dr. Johnson specializes in competency-based education, curriculum innovation, leadership
development, and accreditation and regulatory alignment, and regularly consults, publishes, and presents nationally on nursing education excellence.
