NICHE logoNICHE is a leading organization designed to help hospitals improve the care of older adults. A program of the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at New York University College of Nursing, the goal of NICHE is to provide principles and tools to stimulate and support a systemic change in the culture of healthcare facilities to achieve patient-centered care.

American Association of Colleges of Nursing logoAACN and the HIGN worked collaboratively with an expert panel to develop these competencies and curricular guidelines to serve as a supplement to the 2008 AACN Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice.

The Portal of Geriatric Online Education (POGOe) is a free public repository of a growing collection of geriatric educational materials in various e-learning formats, including lectures, exercises, virtual patients, case-based discussions, simulations, as well as links to other resources.

The OHNEP Team is delighted to announce the launch of a new OHNEP Interprofessional Oral Health Faculty Tool Kit for Undergraduate Programs. The undergraduate tool kit is designed to guide faculty in weaving oral health bytes into existing baccalaureate and associate degree undergraduate nursing courses to integrate oral health with overall health. The Tool Kit is an open source product available on our OHNEP website.

Based on the AACN Essentials and the 2016 IPEC Competencies, the Tool Kit provides user friendly resources to Read about oral health and its link to overall health, along with activities that students Do in class or in clinical simulations, and activities where they Collaborate with students from other programs. Now available at ohnep.org/faculty-toolkit, this guide will help undergraduate faculty make the best use of these numerous resources.
