Designed to simulate real nursing scenarios and to develop clinical decision-making skills, competence, and confidence in nursing students, vSim for Nursing includes:

  • Online interactive virtual simulations with integrated curriculum resources pre- and post-simulation quizzes.
  • Guided reflection questions. Students can interact with patients in a safe, realistic environment, available anytime, anywhere.
  • Interactive student scenarios along with integrated curriculum resources.

New features build critical thinking with Clinical Judgment in Action

The Clinical Judgment in Action feature in NextGen vSim for Nursing offers pause-and-reflect moments during simulations, helping students develop clinical judgment and decision-making skills. This reflective learning builds the cognitive and emotional abilities needed for informed decisions under pressure.

The auscultation sounds enhancement allows learners to practice identifying lung, heart, and bowel sounds in patient care scenarios. It combines reflective questions with realistic auscultation experiences, reinforcing critical thinking and diagnostic precision. Immediate feedback prepares students to deliver quality care in real-world practice.
